As the IC is a development class, there are many options for getting into a boat.
Essentially you have the choice of buying new/second hand or building yourself (there are a few different options here). You can always do a combination in between as you can buy a bare hull or hull shells, so you don't have to do the entire build, just the area you are comfortable with.
